Kathryn Ricozzi, 87, had worked at hospital

Kathryn Irene Ricozzi, 87, of Manassas, Va., formerly of New Milford, died July 30, 2009, at the Emeritus Senior Living of Manassas. She was the widow of Joseph Ricozzi.

Mrs. Ricozzi was born May 18, 1922, in New York, daughter of Frank and Irene (Trama) Paonessa.

She married Joseph Ricozzi on Feb. 7, 1948, in Mamaroneck, N.Y.

Mrs. Ricozzi was a former resident of New Milford for more than 40 years, and had been a resident of the Manassas area since 1994.

Mrs. Ricozzi worked for more than 25 years at New Milford Hospital, where she was also a member of the hospital auxiliary. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church in New Milford.

Mrs. Ricozzi is survived by two daughters, Luanne Stevenson and her husband, Sandy, of Manassas, and Karyn Dahmer and her husband, Dean, of Manassas; two sons, Richard Ricozzi and his wife, Mickie, of Wrightsville Beach, N.C., and Gary Ricozzi of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Shelby Stevenson, Dana Heino and George Michael Heino, III. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by seven brothers, and two sisters.

The Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center was in charge of arrangements.
