New Milford Hospital has opened a new outpatient laboratory patient service center.

The center is at 120 Park Lane (Route 202) in New Milford, just minutes north of the hospital.

Outpatients who currently use New Milford Hospital for lab services are encouraged to try the new location.

Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.

The center features hospital staff and quality of care, backed by the hospital's relationship with Danbury Hospital as part of the Western Connecticut Health Network.

Services performed at the center include phlebotomy (blood drawing) and specimen collection for a wide range of analysis and testing.

A physician's lab test order can be faxed, electronically transmitted or brought to the center.

The site offers free parking and expanded hours of Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

To schedule an appointment, call 203-739-4999.

The center joins four other locations to offer outpatient laboratory services to patients and physicians, also including at 60 Old New Milford Road in Brookfield; 79 Sand Pit Road in Danbury; 10 South St. in Ridgefield; and 22 Old Waterbury Road in Southbury.
