DANBURY — Connecticut State Police took to the skies recently to follow up on complaints of aggressive driving on Interstate 84 in the Danbury area.

A helicopter was sent out on Thursday, state police said Friday, in a joint enforcement effort with troopers from Troop A, the Traffic Services Unit and the Aviation Unit.

Using the Aviation Unit’s helicopter, troopers from the Traffic Services Unit and Troop A saturated the area and cited 93 motor vehicle violations.

The violations cited included speeding, failure to drive in the established lane, failure to wear seat belts and several other license and registration violations.

“This detail is part of the continued efforts of the Connecticut State Police to address aggressive driving on the highways,” state police said.
