'Education is Our Business' forum set

The Washington Democratic Town Committee will present a forum, "In Washington, Education is Our Business," Thursday, Sept. 12 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The forum, to be held at Gunn Memorial Library on Wykeham Road, will feature prominent local educators, including Pat Cosentino, Superintendent of the Region 12 school district; Peter Becker, head of school at The Gunnery; Tom Farmen , headmaster of Rumsey Hall School; and Maryann Campbell, executive director of the Devereux Glenholme School.

Jay Hubelbank, director of finance and administration at the Education Connection in Litchfield, will moderate.

The purpose of the forum is to provide leaders of local public and private schools the opportunity to share their visions about the future of education, not only in Washington but for generations everywhere, and to field comments and opinions.

The program is free and open to the public.

Registration is requested by calling 860-868-7586 or visit www.gunnlibrary.org.
