DANBURY — The lights are off on Newtown Road, but testing for COVID-19 is still on at the AFC Urgent Care’s facility there.

Testing is available at the Newtown Road, Main Street and Mill Plain Road urgent cares. Community members may get tested without leaving their cars. There has been a decline in people going to the Newtown Road location amid the outages, a spokesman for AFC said.

Newtown Road has been among the areas without power in the city. Stop signs have been set up at the traffic lights.

As of around 1:15 p.m., there are 4,315 outages in the city. That is 11.5 percent of Eversource customers. Power was still out on the road as of around 2 p.m.
