Danbury inmate taken to the hospital
DANBURY — Emergency personnel responded to the Federal Correctional Institution around 9:20 a.m. Friday for an inmate with possible internal bleeding.
FCI Danbury is a low security federal correctional institution on Pembroke Road with an adjacent low security satellite prison and a minimum security satellite camp.
It’s unclear which part of the prison the inmate was from, but a guard met first responders at “the main entrance,” according to dispatch.
The inmate was transported to the hospital around 9:40.
The inmate’s actual injuries are unknown, and there’s no information about his or her identity or condition.
A spokesperson from FCI Danbury said the prison could not provide any information on the incident.
