The men and women of New Milford Parks & Recreations fall coed softball were scheduled Wednesday to toss out the 2009 season's first pitch.

Four games were on tap that evening at Young's Field with eight of the league's dozen teams swinging into action.

All 12 teams will play Sunday at Pettibone School:

-G.E.M. Electric vs. Brookfield Plumbing (12:40 p.m. at A;

-The Athlete's Foot vs. Boss Hill Plumbing (2 p.m. at A);

-Candlewood Valley Motors vs. Team Tuz (3:20 p.m. at A);

-Woodie's vs. B & B Mason (12:40 p.m. at C);

-Sports Page Cafe vs. G.M.T. Racing (2 p.m. at C);

-Life Is Good vs. Physician's Care (3:20 p.m. at C).

The loop will resume action next Wednesday evening with doubleheaders slated at Young's 'D' and 'E' fields.

The regular season will run through late October/early November when playoffs will determine the league champion.
