Mike Clark, a Republican candidate for Connecticut's 5th District congressional seat, has announced three items:

Kevin Conroy has come aboard as campaign manager.

A native of New Canaan, Conroy has come back to the state to manage Clark's run after working for the U.S. House of Representatives' Committee on Rules.

Clark was recently endorsed by the Farmington Republican Town Committee.

The motion to endorse the Republican candidate was offered by Jeffrey Hogan, the incoming chairman of theFarmington Town Council.

In his remarks, Hogan highlighted Clark's corruption-fighting, FBI record as well as his work ethic and commitment to excellence, demonstrated during his six-year leadership of the town's Town Council.

"I want to see Mike Clark in Congress," Hogan said. "His legacy is one of achievement."

"Mike has led our town admirably; we've succeeded in a miserable economy because of Mike's leadership," he added.

"Our country desperately needs such leadership ... Mike Clark knows what we need," Hogan said. "He has worked in private industry, has managed employees and has taught the upcoming generation of Americans at a university."

Clark's campaign has launched a new website: www.mikeclarkcongress.com.
