BETHEL — A local restaurant is closing temporarily after an employee was exposed to the coronavirus.

La Zingara Ristorante and its sister restaurant Ecco Rooftop Eatery and Bar plan to reopen after all staff members test negative.

“Thankfully no other staff members are exhibiting symptoms and we all seem healthy,” La Zingara said on its Facebook page.

The employee’s last shift was a week ago, so the 14-day quarantine time will have passed by the time other staff members receive their results, the restaurant said.

“We feel this is the best and most responsible decision,” the Facebook post said. “We appreciate all of your support during these times and look forward to serving you soon.”
