Brookfield seeks volunteers to address coronavirus needs
Anyone looking to help find coronavirus service gaps for those living and working in Brookfield should contact the first selectman’s office to serve on a committee.
The committee, which is led by Mel Butow, will identify the needs of businesses, residents, schools, local government and non-profit organizations connected to the coronavirus. It will then recommend to the selectmen how to address these needs using existing resources or advocate for other solutions.
The state asked every town have this type of committee.
“I think this will e a very good thing thing to see if we’re missing something,” First Selectman Steve Dunn said.
He added the town has done a good job so far, but this will ensure a segment of the town’s population isn’t overlooked.
