Compass Property Inspections is hosting a summer book drive that will benefit New Milford Public Schools’ lending library initiative, which is starting this year.

Project Lead the Way, a team of Schaghticoke Middle School students, will be building lending libraries that will be placed in multiple spots around town from June 1 to Aug. 20.

New or gently used book donations for grade levels K-8 can be donated in New Milford at The Home Depot, Bank Street Theater, The Children’s Movement Center, Dolrbill’s Bowling, Tasty Waves, Stop & Shop, Big Y and Royal Car Wash at 84 Park Lane.

“This is a great opportunity to encourage continued literacy during the summer months as well as nurture community within New Milford by providing another way for residents to spread love, kindness and caring to the youth,” said Tom Allen, president and principal for Compass Property Inspections.
