Auditions set for 'Avenue Q'

TheatreWorks New Milford will conduct auditions Monday and Tuesday, May 19 and 20, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. for its upcoming production of "Avenue Q." Bradford Blake, of Danbury, is the director.
A cast of two male and two female puppeteers, age 21 to 40, and one male and two female actors, age 21 to 40, are sought. Among the actors sought are an Asian female 25 to 40 and an African-American female 21 to 35. There are no non-singing roles. All performers must move well and be proficient singers.
For the puppeteer roles, experience is preferred, but not necessary.
Performers auditioning for any of the puppeteer roles will be asked to demonstrate character voices and manipulate puppets. Puppets will be provided at auditions, as will an accompanist. Auditioners should be prepared with 16 bars of a contemporary musical theater piece. A cappella auditions and auditions without music for the accompanist will not be permitted.
Auditions will be at the theater at 5 Brookside Ave. Parking is available behind the Catherine E. Lillis administration building off East Street.
