BRIDGEPORT — Four people were rescued from a disabled boat by Bridgeport firefighters on Thursday night.

Around 6:20 p.m., fire units were dispatched to Pleasure Beach for a report of a boater in distress.

Officials said four teens, believed to be from Fairfield, were stranded — on a disabled boat — in the Long Island Sound near the old Pleasure Beach bridge.

By 6:50 p.m., firefighters reported that all four of the people were rescued from the disabled boat and were brought safely to shore.
