Youth Agency announces fall programs
The Youth Agency in New Milford has announced its fall programs.
They will include a high school girls' group Sept. 11 and 25 and Oct. 9 and 23; music by live bands The Tired and True, Send Your Regards, Forever Yours, Signal the Escape and Mending the Broken Sept. 11 at 7 p.m., with $8 admission; a girls' group for seventh- and eighth-graders Thursdays from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. beginning Sept 17; and a sixth-grade back-to-school dance Sept. 18 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at The Maxx, with homeroom teacher's name or old student id card required with $8 admission.
Also, a seventh- and eighth-grade back-to-school dance Sept. 25 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at The Maxx, with homeroom teacher's name or old student id required with $8 admission; a nature photography workshop Oct. 2 from 2:30 to 5 p.m., with Youth Agency pick up available from Schaghticoke Middle School; a sibling support group for children with special needs Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; a high school Halloween dance Oct. 16 from 8 to 11:30 p.m. at The Maxx, with $5 admission; and a Halloween party for New Milford families and friends of children and teens with special needs Oct. 31 from 1 to 4 p.m. at The Maxx, with pre-registration required and a refreshment to share donation.
Also, Snaxx at The Maxx Mondays until 5 p.m.; and a "Setting the Example for sixth-grade Sarah Noble Students" program every other Tuesday after school through 5:15 p.m., with transportation from Sarah Noble Intermediate School.
In addition, the Youth Agency has volunteer opportunities available for middle- and high-school students aged 12 and up; and ski and snowboard trips are available.
