The New Milford Visiting Nurse Association administers the Lifeline program formerly run by New Milford Hospital.

Lifeline is an easy-to-use medical alert service designed to reduce the risk of living alone. In the event of a fall or emergency, help is available at the push of a button.

The Lifeline personal help button connects a person to a trained personal response associate who can send help quickly, 24/7.

The associates will determine whether the person will require a visit from a neighbor or a family member and can contact them. If a person is in need of emergency services, Lifeline can dispatch assistance, retrieve relevant medical information, and even let emergency personnel know if the patient has a pet, all while they are on the line.

Lifeline Coordinator Claudette Sesera is in the office at 68 Park Lane Road Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

For information, call the NMVNA information Lifeline number at 800-242-1306, extension 4842 or call Mary Peitler of Ms. Sesera at 860-354-2216.
