The New Milford Film Commission will for the fifth year host the 12th annual Manhattan Short Film Festival at Bank Street Theatre.

Each year Manhattan Short selects 12 short films from around the world and distributes them across five continents. During the course of one week, cinema audiences at each venue will be asked to vote for their favorite short film.

The event will be held Sept. 20 at the New Milford theater, with showings at 12:30 and 3:30 p.m.

Votes will be tallied and submitted to the festival's headquarters in New York City.

The film commission will host a reception at 59 Bank Street following the 3:30 p.m. screening.

Tickets to the festival are $10.
