New Milford Public Library will offer several programs in the coming weeks.

Offerings will include a Bella's Ball Oct. 17 at 2:30 p.m. to celebrate the soon-to-be-released film "New Moon," "Exploring For Plants in Tropical Waterfalls" with Dr. C. Thomas Philbrick Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m., a screening of "Cheri" Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. and a Starry Messenger program for families Nov. 8 at 2 p.m.

In addition, the library will hold its Young Adult Council Oct. 14, Nov. 11 and Dec. 9.

The advisory group, open to students in sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth grade, plans activities and projects and selects books for the young adult collection.

The Stock Market game, a 10-week simulation that allows participants to invest in a hypothetical $100,000 in the stock market, will meet in the coming weeks.

Children in fifth through twelfth grade are invited to attend.

Beginners will meet Mondays from 4 to 5 p.m. Oct. 19 through Dec. 21.

Advanced players will meet Tuesdays from 4 to 5 p.m. Oct. 20 through Dec. 21.

"Views of Ladakh," an exhibit of photographs by Abby Ripley, is on display through Nov. 14.
