Kent library to reconfigure telecommunications

The Kent Memorial Library will have limited computer access on Sept. 5 as Bibliomation, the library's consortium, reconfigures its telecommunications network over the Labor Day weekend.

The end result will be improved performance and cost savings for the organization.

Due to limited computer access that day, Internet access from the library's public computers will be unavailable and staff will use a backup system to check materials out.

Patrons are asked to bring their library cards that day to make the process easier.

The library's website at will be available for use from a patron's home, although the catalog portion will not be available.
