Joseph J. DeBiase, 75, of Ridgefield, husband of Mary (Goodwin) DeBiase, died Oct. 19, 2009, at Danbury Hospital.

Mr. DeBiase was born May 13, 1934, in New York City, son of the late Anthony and Rose (Beneduce) DeBiase.

He attended New York schools. A resident of Ridgefield since 1967, coming from Astoria, N.Y., Mr. DeBiase was employed with the former Benrus Watch Company.

Mr. DeBiase was an avid bowler, considered a "200" bowler. He was a New York Yankee fan and a member of the Italian American Mutual Aid Society of Ridgefield.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, Mr. DiBiase is survived by a son, Joseph and his wife, Lori DeBiase, of New Milford; two daughters, Diane E. DeBiase, of Fryerburg, Maine, and Constance M. Newby, of Wilmington, Del.; a brother, Archangelo and his wife, Pat DeBiase, of Long Island, N.Y.; a sister, Adeline Simonelli, of New Jersey; and six grandchildren.

The Kane Funeral Home of Ridgefield was in charge of arrangements.
