A five-part breakfast brunch series, "Heart Healthy Way to Start Your Day," is good reason these days for area senior residents to stop by the New Milford Senior Center.

In promoting heart health, the series kicked off Oct. 16 and continued Nov. 6 with the second edition.

The second part focused on how to "eat a rainbow," with an emphasis on the importance of fruits and vegetables in one's diet. Carolyn Haglund, the center's new program director, having recently replaced Catherine Killoran, is leading the series.

For scheduling information, call the senior center at 860-355-6075.
