Dental Associates, which has an office in New Milford, will hold its seventh annual Halloween Candy Buy Back Program Nov. 3.

Parents who bring their child(ren) to one of the Dental Associates' offices that day during a particular time, the Tooth Fairy and Dr. Smile E. Fox will weigh the child's unopened, excess Halloween candy and buy it from the child for $2 per pound, up to a maximum of 10 pounds.

Candy may be brought 1 Aspetuck Ave. in New Milford from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 11 Church Hill Road in Newtown from 8 to 10 a.m., 19 Padanaram Road in Danbury from 2 to 4 p.m. or 160 Hawley Lane in Trumbull from noon to 2 p.m.

The candy, along with toothbrushes, will be donated to various local service agencies in the towns where they have offices and to Operation Gratitude, an organization that sends care packages to our soldiers overseas.

Last year, 1,162 pounds of candy was collected and Dental Associates anticipates surpassing that amount this year.

To date, the Tooth Fairy has bought back approximately three tons of candy, worth almost $12,000.
