Carmen G. Quint, 87, of Woodbury, died Oct. 6, 2009, at the Village Crest Center for Health and Rehabilitation in New Milford. She was the widow of Franklin E. Quint.

Mrs. Quint was born Feb. 20, 1922, in Fort Kent, Maine, daughter of the late Alphee and Elodie (St. Germain) Guy.

She was a graduate of Fort Kent High School and Maine General Hospital School of Nursing in Portland.

Mrs. Quint was a member of the Army Nurse Corp during World War II and was stationed in India before working in private duty nursing. She retired from the Woodbury Post Office.

Mrs. Quint was a member of St. Teresa's Church in Woodbury since 1945. She was also a member of the Blinded Vet Association and the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 155. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed crewelwork and gardening.

She is survived by two sons, Donald Quint of Woodbury and Michael Quint of Warren; a daughter, Mary Lou Brown of Thomaston; a sister, Florence Hussy of Bristol; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Normand, Louis, Robert and George, and four sisters, Pauline Pelletier, Lillian LaMare, Gloria Cyr and Rolanda Plourde.

The Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson was in charge of arrangements.
