The Sherman Playhouse will open its production of "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" July 9 at 8 p.m., preceded by a spritzer party at 7:30 p.m.

Following opening night, the play will be staged Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m. through July 31, as well as July 18 and 25 at 2 p.m.

The cast includes local residents Noel Desiato and Shea Coughlin of Sherman, Peter Pecora of Kent, and Abby Myhill, Becca Myhill, Abigail Heydenburg, Abby Hambidge, Phair Haldin and Tess Harkin of New Milford.

Jane Farnol of Gaylordsville is the director.

Tickets are $20. Patrons may attend a half-price preview night July 8 at 8 p.m. Admission for students who pay cash and show proof of a valid student id card is $10.
