Minor Memorial Library in Roxbury will open "Images of the Roxbury Land Trust Preserves," an exhibition and sale of paintings by approximately 40 local artists, June 19 at 10 a.m., followed by a reception from 2 to 4 p.m.

The art exhibition is one of several programs to be held this summer in celebration of the Roxbury Land Trust's 40th anniversary.

The show will be open Mondays from noon to 7 p.m., Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursdays from noon to 5 p.m., Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through July 26, except when the community room is in use for a special library program..

All of the artists' works were inspired by the 3,400 acres of fields, woodlands and waterways that are protected by the Roxbury Land Trust.

Exhibiting artists include Mary Adams, Ira Barkoff, Souby Boski, Karen Cashman, Michael Chelminski, Liz Dexheimer , Marsha Doran, Diane Dubreuil, Vincent Giarrano, Kezia Hearn, Ruth Jaffe, Carol Brightman Johnson, Nancy Lasar, Mercer Mayer, Carroll MacDonald, Ronnie Maddalena, Marija McCarthy, Inga-Britta Mills, Ruth Miller, Wendell Minor, Susan Monserud, Banjie Nicholas, Jon Olivieri, Robert Andrew Parker, Michael Patterson, Jay Pinchbeck, Nancy Pistone, Susan Gold Purdy, Rebecca Rosow, Martha Schwerdtle, Brandon Soloff, Ric Sonder, Jim Stanton, Billy Steers, Kim Tester, Caroline Ullman, Linda West, Jim Worth and Tom Yost.

The South Street library is open Mondays from noon to 7 p.m., Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursdays from noon to 5 p.m., Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
