The Gunn Memorial Library on Wykeham Road in Washington has announced its upcoming programs.

They will include a discussion of "Mind and Medicine: In Harmony for Healing" with author Dr. Marianne M. Urbanski Sept. 7 at 4 p.m., a "Savvy Searching: Beyond the Basic Google Search Box" class Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. and a discussion with Jay R. Tunney about his book "The Prizefighter and the Playwright," Sept. 30 at 6:30 p.m.

In addition, traditional rug hooking demonstrations and a discussion of techniques, designs and materials with guest artisan Fern Strong will be held Sept. 4 at 1 p.m.

After the demonstration, a display and brief discussion of the Gunn Museum's hooked rug collection will be presented by museum curator Stephen Bartkus.
