Libraries across Connecticut, including Kent Memorial Library, will participate in Snapshot Day Feb. 18.

The purpose is to collect information from libraries so they can learn more about their impact on the community on a typical day.

In addition to its regular offerings that day, the library will present a program with cookbook author Terry Walters, author of "Clean Food."

Ms. Walters will present a cooking demonstration and sign copies of her book at 7 p.m.

Also that day, children librarians will visit the Kent Community Nursery School and participate in a lunch bunch.

All visitors will be asked to comment on what the library means to them.

For more information or to register for the cooking program, call the Main Street library at 860-927-3761 or e-mail kmlinfo@biblio.org.
