
Kent Library announces programs
The Kent Memorial Library has announced its upcoming events.
-A special dinner and a screening of "To Kill a Mockingbird" for teens and adults will be offered Sept. 10 at 6 .m.
The program is part of a nationwide 50th anniversary celebration of the novel's publication.
Authors Frank Delaney, Diane Meier and Todd Johnson will join documentary producer Mary McDonagh Murphy for a panel discussion of the book Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Litchfield Community House on Route 202.
The discussion is co-sponsored by Gunn Memorial Library in Washington and Oliver Wolcott Library in Litchfield.
-Dr. Joseph Baxer will discuss his spring 2010 trip to Iran Sept. 11 at 4 p.m.
-A four-part book discussion series focusing on narratives that explore the achievements of the U.S. during and after World War II will begin Sept. 16 at 5 p.m.
