The Sherman Library is accepting donations for its Aug. 7-8 book and barn sale.

A barbecue and auction will kick off the festivities Aug. 6 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Antiques, housewares, collectibles, garden items, toys, furniture, books in good condition and other items will be accepted at the library during regular business hours through Aug. 5.

Upholstered furniture, TVs, computers, mattresses, exercise equipment, lawn mowers, hazardous materials, tires, clothing, VHS tapes, encyclopedias and textbooks will not be accepted.

Large donations should be brought to the Sherman Center library July 24 and 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tickets for the barbecue and auction are $25 for members, $30 for non-members and $10 for children aged 12 and under.
