The Naromi Land Trust in Sherman will present a falconry/birds of prey program at its July 9 annual meeting.

James Eyring, assistant director of Pace University's Environmental Center, will talk about and display live birds of prey, including a Harris hawk, a Great Horned Owl, a Peregrine Falcon, a kestrel, a gyr/saker falcon, a barred owl, a screech owl and other hawks and falcons at the 6 p.m. program.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held at the Lake Mauweehoo Clubhouse at the intersection of Leach Hollow Road and Route 37 South.

Mr. Eyring will fly the birds over Lake Mauweehoo at 6:30 p.m., followed by a presentation about the birds at 7 and a brief business meeting at 8 p.m.
