In memes: Bernie Sanders hanging out around CT in his inauguration mittens

Former presidential candidate, Senator Bernie Sanders (D-Vermont) sits in the bleachers on Capitol Hill before Joe Biden is sworn in as the 46th US President on January 20, 2021, at the US Capitol in Washington, DC.

Dressed in a brown Burton jacket and mittens made by a Vermont artisan, Sanders quickly became the talk of the town — even Vogue profiled his look. But it wasn't just his casual outfit that caught people's attention.

One image, in particular, of Sanders huddled up in a folding chair captured the hearts of meme-makers everywhere. Suddenly, Sanders was being Photoshopped into all sorts of scenarios.
