Fairfield University Bookstore hosting free virtual author talks

Fairfield University Bookstore is hosting free virtual author talks in December, beginning Thursday, Dec. 3, with Alisha Berger Gorder, who will discuss her debut novel, “Joy: A Modern Fable,” with moderator Nancy Doniger. James Ross follows on Thursday, Dec. 10, to discuss his new historical fiction, “Hunting Teddy Roosevelt.”

Both events begin at 7 p.m. Visit Facebook @ FairfieldUBookstore on event night and watch live. Signed copies will be available for purchase online @ www.fairfieldbookstore.com or in-store at the Downtown Fairfield University Bookstore, 1499 Post Road.

The bookstore said the debut novel from Gorder, who lives in Easton, “is a signpost for those who believe we are all connected and that we are all part of something bigger.” Moderator Doniger co-teaches Professional Journalism Production as an adjunct professor at Sacred Heart University.

Historical Fiction Review calls Ross’ “Hunting Teddy Roosevelt” a “taut, exciting thriller of a tale full of wonderful episodes on the African plains and in the steamy, critter filled jungles ... [filled with] sudden pulse pounding action.”
