Judea Garden of Washington will hold its annual volunteer meeting Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Gunn Memorial Library on Wykeham Road in Washington.

Quincy Horan an organic farmer from Washington's Waldingfield Farm, will talk about gardening and farming and discuss ways to extend one's garden's growing season.

Mr. Horan began farming with his brothers, Daniel and Patrick, more than 20 years ago at Waldingfield Farm.

Judea Garden started in 2009 as a community garden where the community gathers together to grow and harvest vegetables for neighbors in need.

Volunteers can adopt a crop, weed, mulch, water, start seeds or harvest.

Outside of the garden one can collect newspapers for mulch, build garden structures, deliver produce or help organize the tool shed.
