-Sir Grout co-founder and national franchisor Tom Lindberg of New Milford has announced a new application specifically designed to prevent slip-and-fall accidents.

The grout and tile cleaning company, which has grown to 18 franchises in six states, recently expanded its services with the debut of Slip Armor, a proprietary non-slip solution that renders almost all floor surfaces slip-resistant when wet.

"Responding to the need to prevent slips and falls, we saw a huge need in what our customers were seeking," Mr. Lindberg said.

Slip Armor, which dries in about 20 minutes, is applied by the firm's technicians and lasts approximately five years.

It is available for residential and commercial floors.

It is different from other non-slip applications in that it does not alter a floor's look and goes into action only when the surface becomes wet, Mr. Lindberg said.

According to public data surveys, more than one million people in the United States experience a significant slip, trip, or fall each year.

For more information, call Sir Grout at 203-702-4896.
