New Milford Cycles will celebrate its seventh anniversary under the ownership of Jim Castelot and Carl Kaffeman with an open house and free barbecue Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 571 Danbury Road. The event is open to the public and will benefit the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy organization through the sale of bracelets. The business will match the dollar amount collected from sales.

Holiday Restaurant in Veterans Plaza in New Milford is open for business again. The business, celebrating its 50th anniversary, had been closed following March flooding on Route 7.
