Gary Passineau of William Raveis Real Estate has received the "2011 Five Star Real Estate Award" from Connecticut Magazine.

Mr. Passineau scored highest in overall satisfaction in a survey of recent homebuyers. He is among seven percent of agents in the state to receive this award, which is based on nine categories contributing to overall excellence in the real estate field.

A void created by the return to the stage of dance instructor Mary Ann Lamb has been quickly filled at FineLine Theatre Arts in New Milford.

Award-winning dancer and choreographer Brandon Cournay has joined the instructional staff at the Railroad Street school. A native of Michigan, Mr. Cournay will teach jazz dance and choreograph pieces for FineLine's spring show.

Ms. Lamb was cast in a show and will be in rehearsals and performing for the next few months, explained Elizabeth Parkinson, co-owner of FineLine.

"She is thrilled to turn the reins over to Brandon," said Ms. Parkinson, "He is young, talented and right in the center of the what is happening in the dance world now."

Mr. Cournay will travel to New Milford from New York City to offer instruction each Wednesday

"He is very excited to be here," said Ms. Parkinson, "and brings with him a fantastic energy which is absolutely contagious."

Among Mr. Cournay's credits are concert dance performances throughout the United States, Cananda and Europe, dancing in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, gigs in numerous commercials and dance videos, and work as assistant choreographer for the Miss America pageant.

He received his BFA in dance from the Juilliard School in 2009.

Finderz Keeperz consignment shop at 159 Danbury Road in New Milford will close when its lease ends April 30.

Owner Christina Izzo will offer sale prices on merchandise in the shop until the closing date. The shop carries women's and children's clothes and accessories.
