The inaugural New Milford Twilight Run will be held June 1 at 7:45 p.m. with start and finish at Young's Field in New Milford.
The race will be hosted by Breakaway Sports Event Management and is not associated with the Moonlight Run, an event held for many years through last 2011.
The New Milford Town Council this week approve closing Young's Field Road, as well as portions of Housatonic Avenue and Boardman Road, for the Twilight Run.
A Kids' Fun Run will precede the race at 7:15 p.m.
Race proceeds will benefit the New Milford High School boys' and girls' cross country teams.

Signup will be $21 through May 30, and $25 on race day.
Packet/chip pickup will begin on site at 4:30 p.m.
