Tim Conn golf to play Waramaug

The 19th annual Tim Conn Open golf tournament will be held July 9 with an 11 a.m. shotgun start at Lake Waramaug Country Club in New Preston.

Proceeds will benefit the Tim Conn Scholarship Fund as part of the John Pettibone Scholarship Fund program. To date, Conn scholars have received nearly $45,000 in scholarships.

The event is held in memory of Tim Conn, a New Milford native, businessman and civic volunteer.

A cocktail hour and silent auction will be offered starting about 5 p.m. and a buffet awards dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

Cost for golf and dinner and scholarship is $185. Those who would like to attend dinner only would pay $45.

Sponsorships are available at $90 for a green, $75 for a tee and $40 for a cart. Donations to the scholarship fund are also welcome.
