A basketball tripleheader pitting Shepaug Valley High School student-athletes vs. neighboring Nonnewaug will be the venue for a Jan. 16 fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
The Spartan junior varsity boys will tip off at 4 p.m. vs. their Chief counterparts and will be followed to the court by the Shepaug girls varsity at 5:30 and the Shepaug boys varsity at 7.
Shepaug senior Ben Levine is using the tripleheader to raise money for the American Cancer Society and promote breast cancer awareness as part of his Shepaug senior project.
A raffle will be offered at halftime of the games and a gift card will be offered for a successful half-court shot.
T-shirts will be sold that evening and at other Spartan varsity games.
Those who buy a "Spartan Pride" pink T-shirt for $10 at Shepaug will get free admission to the "Pink out" games and all remaining Shepaug basketball games during January.
T-shirts also will be available at the New Milford Hospital gift shop.
