The Sherman Park & Recreation Department offers programs throughout the year.
Beach passes are distributed outside the cafeteria from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The free summer concerts are underway Saturdays at the town park pavilion.
Patrons are welcome to bring lawn chairs and picnic lunches. Don Lowe will perform Aug. 17 at 3 p.m.; Cripple Creek will perform Aug. 24 at 1 p.m.; and the Red Dirt Band will be in town Sept. 28.
Registration for the 2014 boating season will be offered Saturdays in September. A lottery, if necessary, would be held Oct.
Registration for all summer youth programs are offered Mondays through Fridays in the Sherman School cafeteria from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through July.
Rich Sheridan, longtime New Milford High School coach, assisted by current Green Wave players, will direct boys and girls ages 8 to 15 from Aug. 12-16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Veterans Field. Cost will be $100.
