The 12th annual Run For A Cure will be held Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 22 in Roxbury to benefit the Regional Cancer Center at New Milford Hospital and the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life.

The race is sponsored by the Roxbury Congregational Church, the Roxbury Recreation Commission and the weekly Roxbury road race series.

Last year's event generated a combined $2,190 for the two causes.

Runners can register and pay the $10 entry fee on Thanksgiving morning from 7 to 9:20 a.m. at the Roxbury Congregational Church, along Route 317.

A children's race will start at 9 a.m.

Walkers and wheeled entrants for the 3.0-mile race will start at 9:15 a.m. and the runners will take off at 9:30 a.m.

The top overall male and female will each receive a plaque.

Refreshments will be available after the race.
