The weekly Roxbury road race series has postponed its 39th season debut to Saturday, Feb. 28, at 8:30 a.m. because of the forecast for snow this weekend.

The series will start then with a 2.4-mile run including a trip up the steep hill on Chalybes Road.

There will be no entry fee.

Most races, sanctioned by the Roxbury Recreation Commission, will be free and will start and finish near Hurlburt Community Park along West Apple Lane.

During the next 10 months, the series will feature a variety of runs, ranging from the popular Roxbury Mile to the year-ending Roxbury Marathon.

There will be races each Saturday at 8:30 a.m., through early December, except July 4 and July 25, when the 47th annual New Milford Village Fair Days 8-mile run will take place.
