Polar Bear Run tries again Sunday Sunday

The Polar Bear Run was postponed Sunday until March 3 due to forecast of inclement weather.
The 29th edition of the event will be held Sunday with an 11 a.m. start near the Lake Waramaug Country Club tennis courts, adjacent to the intersection of Golf Links and North Shore roads in New Preston.
Runners are encouraged to car pool due to limited parking.

The course is a mostly flat, 7.6-mile tour run counter-clockwise around Lake Waramaug, including stretches through the New Preston section of Washington, Warren and Kent.
Race day sign-up will be available for $25. Checks should be made payable to David Dunleavy, 243C Kent Road, Kent, CT 06757.
The first 250 registrants will receive commemorative headbands.
Among the event's sponsors are The Greater New Milford Spectrum, the Western Connecticut Health Network, the Woodbridge Running Company and Trailheads in Kent.
