Polar Bear Run to make its return soon

The 29th edition of the Polar Bear Run will be held Feb. 24 at 11 a.m. near the Lake Waramaug Country Club tennis courts, near the intersection of Golf Links and North Shore roads in New Preston.
Snow date would be March 3.
Runners are encouraged to car pool due to limited parking.
The course is a mostly flat, 7.6-mile tour run counter-clockwise around Lake Waramaug.
Online registration is available at $20 at www.lakewaramaugpolarbearrun.com through Feb. 20.

The first 250 registrants will receive commemorative headbands.
Race-day signup will also be available for $25.
Awards will be given to the respective top male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female finishers in age groups 19 and younger, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 and older.
