Tickets are still available for MVP SOS' ninth annual dinner and silent auction.
The benefit event will be held Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Connecticut Sports Arena along Lanesville Road in New Milford.
Union Savings Bank is the presenting sponsor.
Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with the silent auction, wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres and socializing.
Dinner will be preceded by an update on MVP SOS and its new endeavors.
This year's dinner theme, "The Need Has Never Been Greater" will be featured in a video.
Dinner will be followed by the second annual Jay Lowe Award presentation. A live auction and music and dancing will cap the evening.
Tickets are $75.

Proceeds benefit the MVP SOS general fund.

MVP SOS, Motivational Volunteers Promoting the Spirit Of Sports (& Activities), a 501(c)3, was created to ensure a solid foundation for the future educational and personal success of our youth by keeping them involved in athletics and educational activities in our schools and our community, regardless of their financial status.
Since 2004, MVP SOS has raised more than $270,000 and awarded more than $240,000 to New Milford residents in need.
