New Milford's Connor Mitchell has taken prep succees at Kent School and skated with it to the rink at St. Michael's College.

The 2013 Kent graduate enjoyed a strong freshmen ice hockey season this winter with the St. Michael's varsity squad.

Connor played regular minutes for the Purple Knights as they posted a 7-17-3 record.

The son of Tom and Crystal Mitchell is majoring in political science at St. Michael's.

During his career at Kent School, Connor was the recipient of Peter's Mug, which is emblematic of the school's best all-around male athlete.

To earn that recognition, Connor played two years of varsity ice hockey, three years of varsity lacrosse and football, earning all-conference in the latter two sports.

He served as captain for all three teams and was selected as football's MVP.
