Minor Memorial Library in Roxbury will present a panel of experts who will discuss "Navigating the College Admission Process with Your High School Student: Trends, Myths and Practical Truths" Tuesday, May 7 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Ellen O'Donnell, private college counselor, will lead the panel that will include Karen Waltemath, a certified financial planner with 20 years of experience, and tutors Betsy Fitzgerald and Rosanne Costa.

O'Donnell will discuss how to find the right fit for a student and the pros and cons of SAT tutoring, similar topics of interest to families about to embark on the journey toward college admissions, an overview of college costs, financial aid and scholarships, and how to cope with a potential college freshman.
