-Kristie Anderson has received the J. Wendell Burger Prize in biology at the annual honors day ceremony held at Trinity College Chapel in Hartford.

Ms. Anderson, a senior and a graduate of Shepaug Valley High School, was one of nearly 230 students cited for their scholarly and community-oriented achievements.

NEW MILFORD

-Natalie Hernandez-Pachon, daughter of Hector Hernandez and Carmen Hernandez-Pachon, has received a B.S. from Ithaca College's School of Health Sciences and Human Performance.

-Veronica and Joanna Hernandez-Pachon, daughters of Hector Hernandez and Carmen Hernandez-Pachon, have been named to the dean's list at Ithaca College.

-Miranda Sarjeant has been named to the spring semester dean's list at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I.

-Ryan Walsh has graduated from the University of Connecticut.

-Megan Garguilo has graduated with a B.A. in communications/advertising from Marist College in Poughkeepsie N.Y.

-Melissa Arsenie has graduated cum laude from Gettysburg College with a bachelor's degree

She had previously received the college's Student Leadership Award at the spring honors day ceremony.

-Megan Kochiss, daughter of Kathleen Vojack of Roxbury and Roy Kochiss of Fairfield, has received honors for the spring semester at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

-Rohan Shah, son of Dr. Susan C. Shah and Dr. Arvind T. Shah, was named to the spring semester dean's list at Emory College in Atlanta. He is a liberal arts major.

-Zachary Gross, a sophomore studying in the College of Arts and Sciences, has been named to the spring semester dean's list at Fairfield University.

-Steven J. Bruen Jr. has graduated with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and psychology from the University of Mary Washington in Virginia.

-Margaret Trott graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in English from Messiah College in Grantham, Pa.

Majoring in English, she had been named to the spring semester dean's list.

-Emily Andre, a sophomore majoring in English, was named to the spring semester President's List at Western New England College.

-Vanda Massa-Moniz has received a doctor of law degree from the School of Law of Emory University in Atlanta.

-Honora M Gioia has received an M.S. in teaching and foundation from Fairfield University in Fairfield.

-Sara A. Yanarella graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications with an emphasis in broadcasting as Susquehanna University closed its 152nd academic year with annual commencement exercises May 16 in Selinsgrove, Pa.

She is the daughter of Susan Yanarella of Sherman and Philip Yanarella of Beacon, and a graduate of New Milford High School.

-At the University of New Hampshire, Lauren Pintabona has been named to the spring semester dean's list, having earned high honors, while Carolyn Gribble, Kathleen O'Dowd and Rachel Trott earned honors on the dean's list.

-Michael Monahan, a member of the Class of 2011, has been named to the spring semester dean's list at Loyola University in Maryland.

-Tara O'Connell-Santos has graduated from Quinnipiac University in Hamden.

-Jason DePecol, son of Cynthia and Mark De Pecol, and Samantha Steinmetz, daughter of Jenine Michaud and Paul Steinmetz, have been named to the spring semester dean's list at Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vt.

Mr. DePecol is a sophomore exploratory major and Miss Steinmetz is a junior history major. They both graduated from Shepaug Valley High School.

-Eliza Jackson, a sociology major, has earned a B.A. from Connecticut College. In addition, she has been named to the spring semester dean's high honors list at the college.

-Seth L. Nicholas has received a bachelor of arts degree in economics at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vt.

-Graham Rogers of has graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in international relations at Tufts University in Medford, Mass. He was named to the spring semester dean's list.

-Ashley Kraft and Jasmine Prokscha have been named to the spring semester dean's list at Drew University in Madison, N.J.
