Screening offered for Sherman's pre-schoolers
Published 1:38 pm, Wednesday, September 16, 2009
Sherman parents who are concerned their 3- or 4-year-old children are having difficulty with language/speech, motor, cognitive or socialization development are invited to call Sherman School to discuss pre-school intervention.
An early childhood special education intervention team is available to provide an initial screening for children who may be demonstrating difficulties in overall development.
The results of the screening will be shared soon afterward.
If a developmental concern were noted, a followup meeting would be held with the parent and the early childhood team to determine the next steps in the special education process.
For information, call the school at 860-355-3793, ext. 11.
