The New Milford High School marching band has enjoyed a rich history spanning decades of excellence and success in competition.

The school's color guard hasn't existed quite so long, but has performed at a high level since its inception as well.

On Sept. 29, both NMHS groups took a day off from competition but not from their high performance standards. As a climax to their annual multi-school band and color guard festival at the school, the band and color guard combined to offer a bravura exhibition.
