Students who recently represented New Milford High School at the Distributive Education Clubs of America state competition will advance April 24 to 29 to the International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Fla.

The competition is designed for students interested in improving learning skills for careers in marketing, merchandising, management and entrepreneurship.

The conference is expected to help prepare students for life after college and in the real world.

The local chapter is seeking to raise approximately $7,000 to help defray the costs.

The names of those who donate $200 or more would have their names on T-shirts

to be worn at the competition.

Businesses that would like to advertise should submit donations by April 10.

Donations will also accepted after April 10.

Checks should be made out to NMHS DECA and mailed to NMHS, 388 Danbury Road, New Milford CT 06776.
